Shoppers on Lisburn Road in Belfast were brought to a standstill when two Jersey cows made a surprise appearance on the high street – and were even more stunned when they were led straight into the Venture photographic studio for their very own photoshoot.

Taking inspiration from the film 'Calendar Girls', North Staffordshire Carers Association (NSCA) have linked up with Venture in Hanley, in a bid to raise money and awareness of their efforts for carers in the local community. They have posed au-natural, à la Helen Mirren from the hit film, with strategically placed buns and all!

In the run up to Christmas*, Venture New Generation Portraits, specialists in unique portrait photography, has reported that over 2,700 dogs have been brought into the studios for their own stand alone photo sessions, which can amount to over £600 each. This growing trend means that at least £1.7m has been spent on doggy pictures alone this Christmas – an amazing 200% increase on last year’s figures!
(And that doesn’t even include leather jackets and diamond studded collars the diva dog may demand…).
